The idea typographically records both Yorkshire stages of the Grand Depart (S1 + S2) as detailed road directions. All the data was manually draughted using the route, highlighting the key points of the race, as highlighted on the main Le Tour site. Overlaying the itinerary are the topographic pinpoints of all featured locations graphically juxtaposed with the detailed typography. This not only references the colour coding but maps the route geographically also. The entire design is abstract, yet completely accurate.
