Melissa Price

Melissa Price graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1995. After starting her career at Imagination and MetaDesign, in 2001 she joined Cartlidge Levene, a well respected graphic design studio with a reputation for conceptual thinking and finely crafted graphic solutions. Whilst there she has worked on many projects including books, identities, wayfinding systems and exhibitions for clients including The Guardian, Phaidon Press, Selfridges and Barbican Arts Centre.

These posters explore the architecture of the Barbican estate by simplifying it to flat elevations in black and white. The aim was to focus on the architect's use of simple materials: concrete, brick and water, which are brought together in a multitude of different ways with a strong geometric language of rectilinear and circular forms to create a very distinctive architectural identity.
